                                                                                                                                  Mood:Anxious

Today is a lazy day.
I'm full of anxiety, my weight says 112.4..looks like its climbing back up. I'm having cold and hot flashes.
The anxiety AAAAAAAHHHH!
I hate this feeling, my chest is so tight fells like my heart is in a vice.
So today my Dr. called with my lab results.
All of my levels are good surprisingly, no electrolytes low, only one thing stood out two points higher than the rest..Chloride.
Its only two points higher than the normal average, not enough to cause concern, but the test had to be done again just to be sure it wasn't an error.
My Dr. gives me advice, hydrate all the time, cut back on caffeine and alcohol as these are things that can cause this imbalance also. I think he may suspect something but he hasn't asked me point blank if I have an eating disorder.
I'm not out of the woods yet, Mia has been calling to me all day. Today is 10days b/p free. To be honest I'm not that strong today. I'll fight as much as I can but she may win today. My sister also called, she can't pay for my way back home if I do go visit her, and my husband won't give me the money either. Looks like I'm not going anywhere but insane. I have not been sleeping well, the voices and insolent chatter keep me up at night. I wish everyone would just shut up!
My Dr. asks me if I hear voices?
I should've told him no more than Usual..
I'm so tired of living this way, so very very tired. I now have two bottles of sleeping pills, sometimes I think about them, Today is one of those days.

Hyperchloremia (High Chloride)

What is hyperchloremia?
Hyperchloremia is a high level of chloride in the blood. Chloride is an important electrolyte, and works to ensure that your body's metabolism is working correctly. Your kidneys control the levels of chloride in your blood. Therefore, when there is a disturbance in your blood chloride levels, it is often related to your kidneys.  Chloride helps keep the acid and base balance in the body.
What are some causes of hyperchloremia?
Causes of hyperchloremia may include:
  • Loss of body fluids from prolonged vomiting, diarrhea, sweating or high fever (dehydration).
  • High levels of blood sodium.
  • Kidney failure, or kidney disorders
  • Diabetes insipidus or diabetic coma
  • Drugs such as: androgens, corticosteroids, estrogen's, and certain diuretics.
What are some symptoms of hyperchloremia to look for?
  • Many people do not notice any symptoms of hyperchloremia, unless they are experiencing very high or very low levels of chloride in their blood.
  • Dehydration, fluid loss, or high levels of blood sodium may be noted.
  • You may be experiencing other forms of fluid loss, such as diarrhea, or vomiting when suffering from hyperchloremia.
  • You may be a diabetic, and have poor control over your blood sugar levels (they may be very high).
Things you can do if your blood test results indicate hyperchloremia:
  • Make sure you tell your doctor, as well as all healthcare providers, about any other medications you are taking (including over-the-counter, vitamins, or herbal remedies).  Do not take aspirin or products containing aspirin unless your healthcare provider permits this.
  • Remind your doctor or healthcare provider if you have a history of diabetes, liver, kidney, or heart disease.
  • Keep yourself well hydrated if you have hyperchloremia. Drink two to three quarts of fluid every 24 hours, unless you are instructed otherwise.
  • Avoid caffeine and alcohol, as these can cause you to have electrolyte disturbances.
Drugs that may be prescribed by your doctor for hyperchloremia:
  • As with most types of electrolyte imbalance, the treatment of high blood chloride levels is based on correcting the cause. If there is a dysfunction of your endocrine or hormone system, you may be referred to an endocrinologist for treatment. If there are problems with your kidneys, you may need to see a nephrologist.
  • If your hyperchloremia is due to medications or treatments, these may be altered or removed, if possible.

Deep breaths, you can do this! Find something to distract yourself with, books? tv? internet? music? exercise? anything! 10 days is great, keep going! You can get to 11!!
I'm glad nothing super serious is going on with the results. Take care of yourself, keep the water up and avoid coffee and wine and you should be ok.
I used to hear voices... I would consider telling him, they can help. Please stay away from the sleeping pills. please! please! please! I know I'm some stranger half way around the world but I still care. Plus you have a beautiful daughter who needs you to be happy and healthy- take care of her mother! xxxxxx

I finally finished.

Lol, I think this is the longest I have ever taken to read a blog. I kept wanting to skip your videos, because its really hard for me to listen to videos at my house, but you are so awesome, I couldn't do it.

I think you've come so far, in your whole life and even since you started writing this blog.

I'm glad that there is nothing seriously wrong with your physical health and that your are going to be around for a long time for your daughter. Doctors suck, did he have to make it out to be such a big deal on the phone?

EEP EEP EEP EEP EEP!! DON'T YOU DARE DIE ON ME, WOMAN!!!

Bloody hell, 10 days? You're pwning this shit! If you need distractions start watching the Yogscast Minecraft vids on Youtube. Utterly hysterical! I'm going to the crackstore tomorrow, they have a sale. Want me to grab you some trippy colours of yarn and some needles to you can distract yourself with knitting/crochet?

GIVE THE SLEEPING PILLS BACK TO YOUR DOCTOR AND TELL HIM ABOUT THE CHATTER IN YOUR HEAD. You don't want to be prescribed shit that will make you totally psychotic coz they didn't know about this.

You are making progress, but since it isn't immediately visible you don't realize that you are. Its the difference of speed between sprinting and elbow-crawling army styles through goopy mud. Right now you're on the army-style crawl stage. It's fucking hard and you're exhausted and you wanna give up, but if you do you'll invalidate yourself and the effort you've put in so far.

Slipping up is ok, quitting isn't.

Don't you dare give up on yourself. You're too awesome for that bullshit.

I'm with Peri!! And I've got vodou skills and know how to use them. I'll bring your ass back to life before you've even crossed completely into the next world. <3

You can make 10 days into 11--I know you can!!

Sorry about not being able to visit your sis. :( I know how you feel. I haven't been Home in over 3 years because the flights are just too expensive ($900 was the cheapest I could find to Ireland!). I miss it there, and all my family so much. But one day we'll be able to make those journeys. We can always build rafts. Or walk. :D

Virtual hugs to you, pretty lady!!!

I hope you feel better, I've had those bloated / sick /weight / raised times; they suck! In a few days you'll be making progress again, no worries. :) Just do as the doctor says about the chloride, it's probably just a one time thing, you know? Your electrolites are probably just really crazy sometimes and this is one of those times! Ha but yeah, just don't drink caffeine, alcohol, etc.

Stay strong girll, you'll pull through. You have all this support here for you & I'm always here too. ♥
