It's ok to feel sad! You can't just not care if it's not in your nature. You are a beautiful person even if you don't see it...others surely see it and you would be missed dearly.
It really is ok to feel sad! Cry, throw something(like a pillow or beanbag), scream into a pillow, just let it out. Even if you can't see it now, you are a beautiful person and would be missed dearly if you were to go away. Maybe start a new novel? or some other writing- poems, short stories...<3
